This major campus-style development comprising 13 buildings was completed in 1995 for the Secretary of State for Defence. The scope of Schmidlin’s work extended to over 40,000 m2 of curtain walling, aluminium cladding and structural glazing systems.

Office accommodation façades were triple-glazed with integral venetian blinds, incorporating opening panes for natural ventilation. Curtain walling elements were used to the north-facing elevations, and continuous window walling elements with stone "brise-soleil" to the south facing elevations of the "neighbourhood" buildings. A combination of curved glazing elements and curved aluminium panels were a feature of the stair cores.

Structural glazing systems (bolt-fixsupported) with walkway grilles and aluminium parapet cladding were employed to the entrance pavilions.
