A large Campus-style development on the outskirts of Stevenage housing laboratory and office accommodation for the Glaxo Group. The development contained eight buildings, the external curtain walling and windows of which were awarded to Schmidlin during 1992.

A number of different (bespoke) façade systems were produced by Schmidlin to satisfy the functional and aesthetic requirements of the client and architect.

The systems varied from flush structurally glazed multistorey span solutions to deeply articulated "punched" window units with perimeter aluminium cladding. A common feature to many south-facing façades was the incorporation of deep cantilevered "brise-soleil" louvres in both singleand double-banked forms.

Other features were the use of factory prefabricated glass-block panels within a framing system, designed to enable installation by Tower Crane.
